1. Scope and effective date

This Privacy Policy applies to the Twinklebench Cambridge Android application, package nz.org.cambridgechristmas.twinklebench, version 1.0.0, and the matching public app-support pages prepared for Cambridge Christmas Festival Society Incorporated. It is effective from 11 August 2026. It does not govern unrelated event websites, ticketing services, social networks, payment services or third-party pages.

2. Responsible publisher and inquiry mechanism

Cambridge Christmas Festival Society Incorporated is the intended responsible publisher of Twinklebench Cambridge, subject to the publisher confirming its authority before release. Privacy inquiries may be sent by post to Cambridge Christmas Festival Society Incorporated, c/- Vosper Law, 66 Alpha Street, Cambridge 3434, New Zealand, marked 'Twinklebench Cambridge privacy inquiry', or through the current app-support contact maintained by the publisher in the Google Play listing. The registry address is a correspondence address, not an event venue, visitor centre or technical support desk.

3. Plain-language data summary

Twinklebench Cambridge is designed to work without an account or Internet connection. The app does not collect, transmit, sell or share personal data or sensitive user data. It stores a small set of app choices locally on the device so that selected swatches, composer options, a welcome sequence, viewed maker trays and one selected story can remain available between sessions.

4. Data the app does not collect

The app does not request or collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, postal addresses, precise or approximate location, contacts, photographs, videos, audio, files, calendar entries, payment information, donation information, identifiers, advertising IDs, health information, biometric data, messages, browsing history, app activity telemetry, diagnostics or crash reports. It does not create user profiles or accounts.

5. Local settings and selections

Local state consists only of fixed-option indexes and flags: the selected Spark Swatch, five Tree Scene Composer choices, a sequence of up to eight Welcome Run beats, viewed Maker Tray identifiers and the selected Gift Story. The user cannot enter free text, upload media or attach personal information. These values remain inside the app's private Android storage and are not available to the publisher through the app.

6. Permissions and network access

The release app declares no Internet permission and no dangerous or sensitive Android permission. It does not request camera, microphone, location, contacts, calendar, notification, health, phone, SMS or broad file access. Core content is bundled with the app. Public support pages are separate resources opened by the user outside the app; the app does not contain a WebView or silently contact them.

7. How local state is used

Local state is used only to restore the user's chosen creative lens and planning sequence on the same installation. It is not used to infer identity, measure performance, rank volunteers, determine funding, personalize advertising, make eligibility decisions or produce automated recommendations about people or organizations.

8. Sharing, selling, advertising and profiling

Twinklebench Cambridge does not share or sell user data because it does not collect user data. It contains no advertising, targeted advertising, cross-app tracking, analytics, telemetry, engagement scoring or behavioural profiling. The app has no donation, ticketing, commerce or payment feature.

9. Third-party services and software

The release app does not embed advertising networks, analytics SDKs, social SDKs, cloud databases, remote configuration, payment processors or third-party login systems. Android and Google Play may process installation, security and store information under their own terms independently of this app and publisher. The publisher does not receive that information through Twinklebench Cambridge.

10. Children, families and guardians

The app is a planning and learning companion for adults, adult volunteers, community hosts, parents and caregivers. It is not designed to solicit information from children and provides no chat, public profile, posting, account, contest, social graph or direct communication feature. Family-oriented activity descriptions are intended for guardian-led, observable participation. A responsible adult remains in charge of supervision, venue rules and safeguarding.

11. Sensitive data, wellbeing and safety boundaries

The app does not collect health, disability, safeguarding, financial, legal or other sensitive information. Accessibility prompts are general design considerations, not medical assessment, treatment, professional access certification or a substitute for venue-specific review. Craft prompts avoid flames, ladders, powered tools and electrical work, but authorized adults remain responsible for real materials, equipment, food service, emergencies and local safety requirements.

12. Storage security and backup

Local choices are stored in Android app-private preferences protected by the operating system's application sandbox. Android backup and device-transfer extraction are disabled for app data. No method can guarantee absolute device security, so users should maintain device updates and a suitable screen lock. The publisher holds no server copy of the local choices.

13. Retention and deletion

Local choices remain until the user changes them, uses Reset local choices in the app, clears the app's storage in Android settings or uninstalls the app. Reset and uninstall remove the app-controlled local state. Because the app does not create an account or transmit data to a publisher server, there is no remote account or server record for the publisher to delete in response to an app-data request.

14. User choices and controls

Users may use all core content without providing personal information. They can change any fixed selection, remove beats from the Welcome Run, reset all local choices or uninstall the app. System font scaling, display settings and reduced-motion preferences remain under Android control. The app does not use consent prompts because it performs no personal-data collection or transmission.

15. International access and legal context

The app may be installed outside New Zealand, but it does not transfer user data to New Zealand or another country. Organization and festival references are provided as dated educational context. This policy describes the app's technical behaviour and is not legal advice or a statement that every unrelated publisher activity is governed only by this policy.

16. Policy changes

If a future app version adds data collection, network services, accounts, analytics, advertising, payments, uploads or another material feature, the publisher must update this policy and relevant in-app disclosures before that behaviour is released. The public policy will show a revised effective date. Historical copies may be retained by the publisher for accountability without containing app-user records.

17. Google Play Data Safety alignment

For this exact release, the expected Google Play Data Safety declaration is that no user data is collected and no user data is shared. The app has no account deletion requirement because it offers no account. The publisher must verify the declaration against the exact uploaded Android App Bundle, signing configuration, permissions and any later code or SDK change before submission. Google Play processes its own store data independently.

18. Feature boundaries and contact review

Twinklebench Cambridge is an offline creative-planning and festival-learning tool. It is not a current event calendar, ticket, shop, donation portal, grant application, beneficiary ranking system, volunteer register, emergency service or official source for venue operations. Current programmes and decisions must come from authorized organizers. Before public release, the publisher should confirm that the postal inquiry route and the app-support contact displayed on Google Play are current and operational.
